Boris Johnson unveiled new double-decker bus
Nov 16th, 2010

Boris Johnson has unveiled recently the new double-decker bus which is set to be introduced in London in time for the 2012 Olympics. What do you make of the new bus? Good, bad or just different?

Sport Weekend
Nov 15th, 2010

Formula 1, rugby union (quite a few games!), rugby league and football — have you watched any of these over the weekend? Which was your favourite event?

Gordon Ramsey Suspends Brother-in-Law
Nov 11th, 2010

Gordon Ramsay suspended his wife’s brother and nephew from his company as well as sacking her father in his family bust-up, it emerged today.

Are we to expect a marriage breakup? How would you take this if you were his wife?

Keira Knightley’s Flat Broken Into
Nov 6th, 2010

Keira Knightley’s flat in Mayfair has been broken into by burglars, raising concerns that they might try to sell personal contents from the laptops stolen.

Arguably this wouldn’t cause such concerns to the CID brigade under normal circumstances, and such concerns have only been raised because of the celebrity status Keira has. Would you agree or have you known of instances when the police has shown increased concern regarding personal contents available on a laptop/PC being stolen?

Paloma kicked out of “The Apprentice”
Nov 5th, 2010

So Paloma got kicked out of “The Apprentice” Wednesday night.

The difference in between her team and Synergy was about £500 — as little as that might sound, it is still a difference and as such a loss is a loss and someone had to go.

Paloma did show at times though a need to argue a lot — we’ve seen this even in the boardroom. Following the leave of Karren the other week who proved to be pretty much all mouth, do you think the easiest way to get yourself fired by Lord Sugar is to keep on argueing or have some of the arguements we’ve seen so far on “The Apprentice” shown a valid point?

Music and pizza from your iPod?
Nov 4th, 2010

Pizza Express announced recently installing iPod docks and domes in their outlets — such that customers can personalize their dining experience while in there.

Do you see this as technology taken to the extreme or an useful addendum to their operation? Is it going to last or will we see the novelty wear off soon ?

Sony PlayStation Phone?
Nov 3rd, 2010

A few hints from a Sony exec recently points towards a “PlayStation phone” coming from Sony next; considering the way PSP went and the fact that rivals like Apple and HTC are already providing games-enabled handsets, how do you think this will be received by the public?

Free Wi-Fi on the Underground
Nov 2nd, 2010

As you might have found out during the last couple of days, TfL is to launch a Wi-Fi trial at Charing Cross station giving travellers free internet access while in the station. This does mean that people who are in a hurry can quickly download emails while in the station and then read them throughout the rest of their journey and come out at the other end having saved some time. It also means that anyone with a smartphone can also potentially start making and  receiving phonecalls and as such the eternal problem of the annoying ringtones continues underground — just where we thought we’d be safe. Which one of the two do you think carries more weight?

UK Internet Economy “Worth Billions”
Nov 1st, 2010

According to a study carried out by Google, the UK internet economy is worth about £100 bn per year — which suggests it contributes more to the economy than other industries like transport or construction.

Should this be seen as a positive sign for the internet industry or is it rather to be seen as a negative one for the other industries?
